Our offices are now closed and we will be operating in a ‘fault only’ mode during Alert Level 4 period.

EA Networks would like to reassure the Mid Canterbury community that our business remains committed to providing our region with essential electricity services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

We recognise the seriousness of the situation and the important part we all play ensuring that risk of transmission is reduced. We want to assure everyone that we are working hard to implement new measures to protect the wider public and our staff so we can continue to provide essential power services.

We are closely following government advice and have implemented many to our work practices. We have also secured a secondary work site for our people which allows for increased physical distancing and operational security.

Keeping the lights on and the web connected for our customers remains our top priority and is of utmost importance during these uncertain times.

There is currently no increased risk to our power supply and we are well-prepared to respond as the situation evolves. Our continued investment in a robust, modern electricity network means that we are equipped to effectively manage and respond to outage issues when they occur.

Slowing down the spread of COVID-19 is vital to protect the health of all New Zealanders and to ensure our health system can cope and look after those who become sick. We are committed to doing our part, as we navigate this rapidly evolving situation.
