Building customer connections

On 10th December, EA Networks hosted a breakfast for some local electricians, creating a space for networking as well as an opportunity to provide a quick business update.

Given the high level of interaction EA Networks has with electricians, it made sense to connect. "We rely on electricians to help get customers connected to the network, whether it's someone's home, an extra pump on the farm or a new business," said Myles Connew, GM Contracting. "We have this two-way relationship, and we need to foster it so it works well for everyone."

The EA Networks team appreciated putting faces to names and getting the opportunity to meet with people they had potentially been emailing with for years.

"We also took the opportunity to provide some clarity on the journey of a new connection, discussing what is working well and what can be improved, from both electricians' and our perspective," said Jessica Harris, Customer Engagement Manager. "If we can connect and understand, then we can improve. It's about customer focus, continuously improving and building relationships in the community."
