The Connexis Annual Connection 2025 competition runs from 21st - 23rd October and brings together cable jointers, line mechanics and industry stakeholders from across New Zealand.

This year, EA Networks is co-hosting the event alongside Connectics and Orion NZ Ltd, bringing the event back to Christchurch after a seven-year hiatus. "Annual Connection is a chance for us to demonstrate the broad range of opportunities in the sector and show how the work we do makes a positive difference to people's lives", said Onno Mulder, CEO, EA Networks.

EA Networks is proud to be putting in a team of line mechanics as well as two Cable Jointers. Our team consists of (from left to right): Tia Fasi, Chloe Guthrie, Leigh Naughton, Franco Heinse, Logan Sturm, Keizer Bulagnir, Logan Hatrill (absent) and Richard Foaga (absent).

Chloe and Tia are entering into the cable jointing competition. This will be a first for both of them, and they are being well supported by their colleagues "Everyone has been very forthcoming with their own experiences; the likely skills and knowledge I'll need and the overall structure of the competition", said Tia Fasi.

The EA Networks team will join over 100 of New Zealand's best line mechanics and cable jointers in the upcoming competition.
