Network access

All third-party external service providers wishing to gain access to EA Networks' electrical assets need to complete the requirements outlined below before commencing work.

By completing these steps, external service providers gaining access to EA Networks' electrical assets will:

  • Be aware of their health and safety obligations and responsibilities.
  • Have systems and processes in place to work safely and to a high-quality standard.
  • Be able to control and manage their work once access is given.

What is the process?

For external service providers wishing to gain access to EA Networks' electrical assets, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the EA Networks External Providers Standard.

Step 2: Provide all qualifications, formal competencies, and supporting documentation as required by the External Providers Standard. Email this to hs@eanetworks.co.nz

Step 3: To familiarise yourself with our network structure, read through the EA Networks Restricted Area Entry Handbook. A copy will be provided before your Restricted Area Entry assessment.

Step 4: Book a time to be assessed for Restricted Area Entry and any other competencies deemed necessary for your work.
