EA Networks will be joining the South Island Field Days team once again to work alongside other Lines Companies within the area, with a focus on Electricial Health & Safety on farm.
South Island Field Days runs from March 29 - 31st at Kirwee, and is one of the largest agricultural events in the South Island.
"It's a great opportunity to get out within the rural community and all share the same safety messages across Canterbury", said Stephen Small, Safety and Compliance Manager, EA Networks.
'Look Up and Live' is one the key messages this year. To support this message, EA Networks has built a simulation of a tractor contacting overhead lines, with the goal that it will raise awareness of how real this safety issue is. "We hope it will start the conversation and enable us to highlight the very real risk this poses for our local farmers", said Mr Small.
