Our people are our highest priority, without their hard work and dedication to EA Networks we would not be able to provide our district with the level of service that we currently do. With the recent heavy workload within our Electricity and new Fibre connections, our People & Capability team have been working hard to identify ways to support our EA Networks team.

We have acknowledged the extra effort and time that is being provided to the business by our team members, and as we reach the end of the year, many of our team members are tired and are looking forward to the holiday season.  The safety, wellness and wellbeing of our team is extremely important to us, so on Monday 14 November, an impromptu meeting was called, to advise staff that the organisation was putting in place a one-off wellbeing day for all staff on Friday 25 November.

"The staff seemed really excited with the announcement, it was great to be able to provide an extra opportunity for them to connect with their families, recharge and take a day for them," said Roger Sutton, CEO.

This day off is being provided to allow our team members to rest, spend time with friends and family, take part in an activity that they enjoy. To really have some ‘me time’. To ensure the community continues to be supported, fault staff will continue to be rostered and available should any outages occur on the day. "It's about finding a balance for the us and the community", said Roger.
